Sep 2 NKC Coffee Connect - Intergetik Marketing
Coffee Connect: Intergetik Marketing Solutions – Your Business Exists Online. The Question Is Whether Anyone Can Find It.
Join us for our next NKCBC Coffee Connect as we welcome Rick Brewer, Owner, and Michael Robinson, Director of Sales and Marketing, from Intergetik Marketing Solutions, a full-service digital marketing agency serving businesses across the Kansas City metro.
The reality for most small businesses is that their online presence is working against them without them even knowing it. Customers are searching, competitors are showing up, and too many good companies are invisible in the places that matter most. Rick founded Intergetik over 20 years ago in St. Louis to change that, building the agency around three core disciplines: web development, digital advertising, and search visibility. The Kansas City expansion was a natural next step for a team that had already been serving KC businesses for years and wanted to put real roots down in a market that values the way Intergetik already works.
What sets Intergetik apart is the approach. Clients don't get handed off to a system. They get a team that sits alongside them, learns their business, and stays as invested in their growth as they are. That partnership shows up in websites that convert, search presence that drives the right traffic, and marketing systems that keep working even when you are focused on running your business.
This is a conversation about what it takes to compete online, why the right partner makes all the difference, and how your digital presence can become one of your most powerful tools for growth. https://intergetik.com/

Sep 17 Frontline Leader Development Bootcamp 9/17 10/8 11/12 12/10
Building Tomorrow's Leaders Frontline Leadership Development
Great employees don't automatically become great leaders.
Many organizations promote high-performing employees because they know the job, but leading people requires an entirely different skill set.
The Frontline Leadership Development Program helps bridge that gap.
Designed for first-time supervisors, team leaders, shift managers, department managers, and emerging leaders, this nationally accredited leadership program equips participants with practical tools they can begin using immediately.
Whether you're preparing someone for their first leadership opportunity or strengthening an existing management team, this program helps organizations build confident leaders who improve communication, strengthen workplace culture, and develop high-performing teams.
Why This Program Matters
One of the biggest challenges organizations face is promoting employees into leadership roles without providing formal leadership training.
Employees often know the work, but suddenly find themselves responsible for coaching former coworkers, handling difficult conversations, managing conflict, setting expectations, and motivating others.
Without the right tools, even talented employees can struggle in their new role.
This program accelerates that transition by equipping leaders with practical skills they can apply immediately in real workplace situations.
Organizations benefit through:
- Stronger communication across teams
- More confident supervisors and managers
- Better employee engagement
- Reduced turnover
- Improved accountability
- Faster onboarding for new leaders
- Increased leadership capacity from within the organization
Rather than hiring leadership talent externally, businesses can confidently invest in the people who already understand their culture, values, and operations.
What You'll Learn
Foundations of Communication: Leadership begins with communication. Participants learn how emotional intelligence, active listening, empathy, and meaningful feedback create stronger relationships and improve employee engagement. Leaders discover how balancing business objectives with genuine concern for people leads to better outcomes for everyone.
Coaching to Move People Forward: Great leaders don't simply solve problems—they develop people. Participants learn practical coaching techniques they can use in everyday conversations to encourage growth, improve performance, increase accountability, and build employee confidence.
Resolving Conflict: Conflict is unavoidable. Poorly managed conflict is not. This course teaches leaders how to recognize conflict early, navigate difficult conversations with confidence, and use practical coaching and mediation techniques to resolve issues before they impact morale, productivity, or teamwork. Many graduates say this session alone provides tools they use almost every week.
Setting Goals & Reviewing Results: Strong leaders create clarity. Participants learn how to establish SMART goals, build employee ownership, track progress effectively, and conduct meaningful performance discussions that encourage growth rather than simply evaluate performance.
Program Details
- Four 4-hour interactive sessions
- 16 hours of nationally accredited leadership training
- DDI Certified Instructor
- 10:00 AM–2:00 PM (Lunch Break Included)
- Open to businesses throughout the Kansas City region

Dec 3 2026 Holiday Magic Dinner & Auction presented by NKC Health
Holiday Magic Dinner & Auction
Holiday Magic is the North Kansas City Business Council's premier annual fundraising event, bringing together business leaders, community members, local organizations, and civic partners for an evening that celebrates the spirit of North Kansas City while supporting the Business Council's year-round mission.
The event showcases the strength and diversity of the North Kansas City business community through a "Taste of NKC," featuring specialty food and beverage offerings from local restaurants and businesses. Guests enjoy networking, community engagement, entertainment, and a live and silent auction featuring items generously donated by local businesses and supporters.
Funds raised through Holiday Magic help the North Kansas City Business Council continue its work of informing, supporting, connecting, and advocating for the local business community. These resources support business development programs, networking and educational events, workforce development initiatives, community partnerships, scholarship efforts, and advocacy that contribute to the economic vitality and quality of life in North Kansas City.
More than a fundraiser, Holiday Magic serves as a celebration of the partnerships, businesses, and community leaders who help make North Kansas City a vibrant place to live, work, and do business.
Your support of Holiday Magic directly contributes to strengthening local businesses, fostering community connections, and creating opportunities that benefit the entire North Kansas City community.
Thank you to our 2026 sponsors!!
